Welcome To Teacher Treks

Teacher Treks, provided by Orion Education and Training, offers online, asynchronous, and personalized courses designed to fit the busy schedules of educators. Available to all educators.

 

PDC points are offered directly through Orion Education and Training, while graduate credits are provided through our partnership with MidAmerican Nazarene University. This program provides flexible opportunities for educators to advance their careers and enhance classroom practice.

 

Flexible Learning Pathways

We offer three distinct professional development formats so you can choose the path that best fits your goals: Solo Treks, On-Demand Treks, and School Treks.

Solo Treks

Solo Treks are online month-long courses that allow you to learn at your own pace and on your own time.

On-Demand Treks let you choose the online course start and end date, and you have 6 months to finish.

The Teacher Treks online courses can be customized to align with a school or district's professional learning plan.

Pricing and Credit Options

All of our graduate credit options are awarded by MidAmerica Nazarene University. The graduate credit prices listed below are inclusive of the $75 per credit university fee.

  • 10 PDC On-Demand Trek: $50
  • 20 PDC Solo Trek: $85
  • 40 PDC Solo Trek: $100
  • 60 PDC Solo Trek: $130
  • 1 Graduate Credit Solo Trek: $145
  • 2 Graduate Credit Solo Trek: $250
  • 3 Graduate Credit Solo Trek: $355

 

Note: Your PDC completion certificate or transcript will be available within seven business days of the course end date, with options available for early completion access. If your district requires course preapproval for graduate credit, course numbers are available via our preapproval sheet.

 

How to Register & Get Started

  • Select Your Course: Browse our extensive catalog of topics, including Book Studies, technology integration, instructional design, and classroom management. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE COURSE CATALOG to access the course catalog.
  • Submit Registration: Use the registration links provided in the course descriptions or CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE REGISTRATION FORM.
  • Process Payment: After registering, you will receive an automatic confirmation email detailing your payment information. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive it.
  • Plan Ahead: Courses begin on the 1st of every month. Processing your registration, payment, and course access can take up to 5 business days, so please avoid registering at the last minute to ensure your start date.
  • Log In & Learn: If registered in advance, you will receive your course login instructions the day before your course begins.
